Manufacturing continues to play a key role in in the evolution of Silicon Valley’s high-tech economy. On January 24, 2017, BriteLab Co-Founder and CEO Robert de Neve will join an esteemed panel to discuss manufacturing’s past, present and future as part of the “Power of Manufacturing” event hosted by The Silicon Valley Business Journal.

With over 35 years of technical and executive management experience in Silicon Valley, de Neve has seen firsthand the rise of manufacturing across the region and believes this is only the beginning:

“2017 will see a massive increase in US-based high-tech companies bringing products back from Asia,” said Robert de Neve. “A new pro ‘Made in the USA’ administration in Washington, D.C. combined with growing concerns about intellectual property diffusion abroad, continued problems with quality drift in foreign factories, and increased overseas labor costs will bring production back to the US where advanced manufacturing technology and methods are readily available. This new manufacturing renaissance has already begun and is centered in Silicon Valley.”

Moderating the “Power of Manufacturing” panel will be Chris Burton, Senior Business Development Manager for the City of San Jose. In addition to de Neve, confirmed panelists include: Richard Walkup, Founder of Piranha, and Bill Ng, Sr., Director of Manufacturing Operations at Prysm, Inc.
